Meet the Designer

Saguaro was built from a lifelong love of horses and a deep belief in family, hard work, and originality.

I grew up in the hunter world and rode English from age six through eighteen. Everything changed after watching Stacy Westfall’s Congress freestyle to “Live Like You Were Dying.” That ride stayed with me and lit a spark I could not ignore. At eighteen, I made the switch to western riding and never looked back. Over the years I have tried a little of everything, including a short barrel racing phase, but my heart has always been in reining. I also love ranch riding and a good, broke horse that can do it all. Horses have shaped who I am, how I work, and the standards I hold for everything connected to this brand.

Saguaro is proudly family owned and operated. My husband Cody and I have been together since we were teenagers and married for over a decade. He serves full time as a firefighter and is the steady force behind the scenes that helps keep Saguaro running smoothly through the long shifts and busy seasons. We are also parents to two children, Carson and Caroline, who are growing up right alongside this brand and everything it represents.

Saguaro began in 2018 with nothing more than a hope and a willingness to try. I was not riding much at the time and needed something creative that was my own. I ordered a single saddle pad on a whim and sold it within minutes. I reinvested that small return into a handful more and slowly began building from there. Those early pieces were simple and not my own designs, but they gave me a starting point and the confidence to keep going.

In 2019 I committed to teaching myself to design from the ground up. I am completely self taught. There were no formal classes or shortcuts, just persistence and a refusal to give up when it felt overwhelming. I learned in small windows of time and kept going until it clicked. That discipline opened every door that followed.

Every Saguaro design still begins the same way, by hand. Each pattern is personally drawn and developed by me before it ever becomes a finished pad. Nothing is pulled from stock artwork or mass produced design libraries. This process ensures that every release is original and that what you see in the show pen is something you will not find anywhere else. Protecting that originality through copyright and trademark has become a core part of what we stand for. There is real security in owning what you create with your own hands.
As the brand has grown, Saguaro has been fortunate to work with talented professionals across the industry. It remains a humbling experience to see my designs in the hands of riders I have long admired. Hard work and authenticity matter here, both in the saddle and in business.

Horses have had a lasting impact on my life and continue to shape the direction of this brand. Saguaro exists to create pieces that reflect pride, preparation, and the kind of presentation that honors the horse beneath you. This business is built on family, dedication, and the belief that what is meant for you will find its way.

Thank you for supporting a family run brand built from the ground up.
