The facility was purchased summer of 2013 by Joao Marcos. A native of Brazil, Joao Marcos is fully committed to supporting and developing the sport of reining on an international level.

Home of the Legacy Sale each October, Cardinal Ranch features the largest private covered arena in the world, first class show barn, 200+ stalls, as well as a state of the art breeding operation and Stallion Station featuring 9 of the industries best sires.

Cardinal Ranch exemplifies international ties developing throughout the reining industry, and serves as the training base for NRHA Million Dollar Rider Franco Bertolani.



Matt Palmer   

Matt Palmer is a NRHA Top 20 Professional and finalist at every NRHA major event, five time NRHA World Champion, and a multiple time Congress Champion and Reserve Champion. He also has multiple FEI Gold Medals and was a member of USA’s gold medal winning team at WEG. He trains out of Santa Hill Ranch in New York, and is proud to represent the east coast in reining! He believes presenting a sharp look in the show pen is an important part of each run, and is proud to have Saguaro Show Pads helping him do just that. 

Jason Vanlandingham

The primary goal of Vanlandingham Reining Horses is the success of your futurity and derby horses. Jason Vanlandingham, owner and head trainer, has been a professional trainer since 1998. His accomplishments include NRHA Open Futurity Champion (L4), NRHA Open Derby Champion (L4), NRHA Open Derby Reserve Champion (L4), NRHA Open Futurity Champion (L3), Two time NRHA Open Derby Champion (L3), Tulsa Open Futurity Champion (L4), Tulsa Open Derby Champion (L4 & L3), Tulsa Open Novice Derby Champion (L4), High Roller Reining Classic Open Futurity Champion (L4), High Roller Reining Classic Open Derby and Open Stakes Champion (L4), AQHA World Show Res Champion, SWRHA Open Futurity Champion (L4 & L3), SWRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion (L4), NRBC $25,000 added Open Champion, Sandhills Slide Futurity Champion (L3).

Jeremy Gates

Stony Ford Ranch - Campbell Hall, NY Jeremy has been an NRHA member since 1999. A graduate of SUNY – Morrisville, Gates became interested in reining while a student of Lewis “Spike” Holmes. After graduating, he went to work for Dutch Chapman, where he had many opportunities to show and grow as a professional. During this time he earned the 2003 NRHA Limited Open reserve world championship aboard Ms Peppymint Chic. 
Jeremy struck out on his own in 2004 when he moved to Campbell Hall, NY. He continued his winning ways earning the 2008 NRHA Novice Horse Open World Championship aboard Peptos I Brow and earned the 2017 NRHA Novice Horse Open Level 2 reserve world championship riding Watchitgalsgottagun.
Gates also excelled in aged events, most notably with Lil Dreamin Magnum. This duo made the finals at the Congress Open futurity, the NRHA Open futurity, as well as the NRBC and the NRHA Derby. The won back to back Carolina Classic Derby & ABI Derby championships in 2016 and 2017.
Over the years, Jeremy has also coached multiple Rookie of Year finalists as well as local and regional non pro champions. He currently has lifetime earnings in excess of $340,000 and over the course of his career he has mastered all facets of the reining horse industry.
